Policies & Procedures
Session Subscriptions
Priority and Subscription Requests:
- Subscription requests are prioritized based on the date of request and payment. However, it’s important to note that already registered pay-per-class participants will not be displaced from their classes.
- Subscribers will receive priority enrollment for upcoming sessions and any available waitlist spots.
How to Register for a Subscription:
- To begin your subscription, please fill out this form. Our team will follow up with you to complete the registration process and confirm your classes.
- Please note that filling out a form does not guarantee placement into classes.
This policy ensures a fair and organized registration process, allowing us to provide excellent service and a seamless experience for all participants.
Our sessions typically consist of 6 classes spread over 6 weeks.
Adjustments to Session Length:
- Occasionally, sessions may extend to 7 weeks or be reduced to 5 classes due to holidays, school breaks, or teacher availability.
- For sessions shortened to 5 classes, we adjust the fee to $50, ensuring you pay only for the classes provided.
Announcement of New Sessions:
- We announce new session dates to the public 6 weeks in advance.
- Subscribed students enjoy the benefit of receiving this information 7 weeks prior, giving them early access to plan and submit any class releases.
This structure allows us to maintain flexibility while ensuring that our students receive a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
As a subscribed student at Savour & Sprout, if your child gets sick or if you know in advance that your student(s) will be unable to attend a specific class, you have the option to release it for pay-per-class registration.
Release Process:
- It’s best to notify us within 7 days of receiving the session schedule to release a class.
- To release a class, please email us at classes@savourandsprout.com with your request.
Credit and Refund Policy:
- If your released class is filled by a pay-per-class student, we will credit the value of that class to your next subscription invoice.
- If the released class is not filled, no credit or refund will be issued for that class.
Reversing a Release:
- If you wish to reverse your decision to release a class, please contact us immediately at classes@savourandsprout.com. We will check the availability and inform you of possible options. However, reinstatement of a class spot is not guaranteed and is subject to current enrollment status.
This policy is designed to provide flexibility while ensuring that classes are efficiently managed and available to others who might want to join.
At Savour & Sprout, we recognize that circumstances may require a pause in your child’s participation. Here’s how we can accommodate these needs:
For Extended Absences: If you anticipate your child missing more than two sessions, we ask that you cancel your subscription. When you’re ready to return, simply complete our subscription request form to re-enroll.
For Short-Term Absences: If your child will miss two sessions or fewer, please contact us at classes@savourandsprout.com. We will evaluate your situation individually, taking into account current waitlist lengths, and explore possible options with you. Please note that while we strive to accommodate all requests, we cannot guarantee the availability of a pause.
We appreciate your understanding and are here to assist with any transitions in your child’s culinary education journey.
Charges for the upcoming session are billed on the date of the last class of the current session.
Example of Billing Schedule:
- Summer Session 1: Runs from June 7th to July 19th.
- Billing for Summer Session 2: Occurs on July 19th, the final class of Summer Session 1.
- Summer Session 2: Begins on July 26th.
This schedule ensures that billing aligns seamlessly with the transition between sessions, providing clarity and consistency for our subscribers.
By providing the opportunity for such a low cost class I require a minimum of 2 sessions before canceling. If for some reason you did need to cancel before the second session there would be a cancellation fee equal to 100% tuition for the upcoming session.
If you need to cancel after you’ve fulfilled the two session, here’s what to expect based on when you notify us before the next invoice:
- 4+ weeks: No cancellation charge.
- 3 weeks: 25% of the tuition fee as a cancellation charge.
- 2 weeks: 50% of the tuition fee as a cancellation charge.
- <1 week: 75% of the tuition fee as a cancellation charge.
Class Attendance: Regardless of cancellation notice, your child is welcome to attend classes for the remainder of the current session.
Contact us at classes@savourandsprout.com to initiate a request for cancelation.
In the event that the instructor needs to cancel a class we will offer one of three options:
- Receive a full refund of what you paid for the class.
- Transfer attendance without a fee to another available class option.
- At times, if possible, the instructor will offer a make-up class date that can be utilized.
While we aim to maintain accurate class availability, there can be delays in updating our system due to the manual setup required for subscription requests. Here’s how we handle class bookings for pay-per-class participants:
- Book with Confidence: If a class appears available, go ahead and reserve your spot. We will temporarily hold the total tuition fee and confirm your registration within 2 business days.
- Confirmation Process:
- Registration Confirmation: Once your registration is processed, we’ll send you an email confirmation along with any necessary paperwork for your upcoming class.
- Waitlist Option: In cases where the class is full, we will inform you immediately and offer the option to join the waitlist.
Waitlist Benefits: Being on the waitlist comes with its perks. See waitlist perks here.
Please ensure you book promptly as spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Your understanding and patience are greatly appreciated as we ensure each participant gets the attention they deserve.
Pay-Per-Class
When you book multiple classes receive the following tiered discount:
- 2-3 classes/participants: $13 each
- 4 classes/participants: $12 each
- 5-Max classes/participants: $11 each
- Immediate Cancellations: If you revoke your registration within 24 hours of signing up, you’re eligible for a full refund.

- 1-2 weeks before the class, we can refund 50% of the class OR transfer without a fee (availability dependent).
- Late Cancellations: >1 week
- Due to pre-class preparations and expenses, we’re unable to offer refunds for these cancellations. Transfers can be made with a $5 fee.
We understand that plans can change, and that’s where the pay-per-class creates flexibility. As long as there is a class available to transfer into, here is what you can expect:
Early Transfers:
- More than 1 week before class: Transfer your class without any fee.
Late Transfers:
- 7 days or less before class: A transfer fee of $5 per class, per participant applies.
This policy allows for adjustments while respecting the logistical and preparatory demands of our classes. Please make note that making a request for a transfer does not guarantee it can always happen. There needs to be availability in the desired class.
Email us at classes@savourandsprout.com to request a transfer.
Since we allow transfers there can be a delay in our booking systems. The following process is how we handle class bookings for pay-per-class participants:
- Book with Confidence: If a class has availability, go ahead and reserve your spot. We will temporarily hold the total tuition fee and confirm your registration within 2 business days.
- Confirmation Process:
- Registration Confirmation: Once your registration is processed, we’ll send you an email confirmation along with any necessary paperwork for your upcoming class.
- Waitlist Option: In cases where the class is actually full, we will inform you immediately and adjust the invoice as needed as well as offering the option to join our waitlist for the class that is full. You will only be charged the total that is applicable to the classes available.
Waitlist Benefits: Being on the waitlist comes with its perks. See waitlist perks here.
Please ensure you book promptly as spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Your understanding and patience are greatly appreciated as we ensure each participant gets the attention they deserve.
In the event that the instructor needs to cancel a class we will always offer options 1 & 2:
- Receive a full refund of what you paid for the class.
- Transfer attendance without a fee to another available class option.
- At times, if possible, the instructor will offer a make-up class date.
Health & Safety
At Savour & Sprout, safety and inclusivity are at the core of our operations. We are committed to maintaining transparency regarding potential allergen exposure in our class environment.
Allergen Information:
- Our facility regularly handles the Big 9 allergens, including peanuts, tree-nuts, milk, gluten, eggs and soy. Given the prevalence of these ingredients in our class area, we are unable to accommodate individuals with severe food allergies due to the high risk of cross-contamination.
Options for Mild Dietary Concerns:
- For those with dietary concerns, where cross-contamination is not a risk, we offer a flexible pay-per-class option. This allows you to choose classes that avoid specific allergens.
- Please contact us at classes@savourandsprout.com for detailed information on which classes are suitable for your dietary needs.
We strive to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable culinary experience, and we encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns regarding allergens.
At Savour & Sprout, we are deeply committed to the safety and well-being of all our participants. In the event of an incident, our immediate actions to prevent food contamination and manage the situation are crucial, though this may disrupt ongoing class activities.
Policy Details:
Incident Handling: We are committed to addressing any incidents swiftly and effectively to minimize impact. While disruptions are unfortunate, we will use these situations as learning opportunities to enhance students understanding of safety in the kitchen.
Communication: Should an incident occur, we will promptly notify emergency contacts. Both staff and parents are required to complete an incident report after the class, which helps us maintain a high standard for a safe and responsive learning environment.
No Make-Up Classes: Please note that we do not provide make-up classes for sessions disrupted by incidents. This policy is in place to ensure we can continue to provide a safe and organized educational experience for all students without overextension of resources.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in fostering a secure environment for every learner.
